GRASP Community Center
Individuals and Organizations may apply to rent the community room at the GRASP Community Center located at 250 Donalan Drive in Converse when not in use by the Agency serving its primary clients.

Capacity
The facility can seat up to 100 people at 12 round 60-inch tables. Chairs and tables are provided. Outdoor events may utilize picnic areas on the 3-acre grounds.
Reservations
Reservations may be made by completing an application and paying a security deposit to hold the date. Deposits are refundable if event cancels within 30 days; and there are no damages or extra janitorial duties required following the event. Events cannot be scheduled on weekdays before 5:00 p.m. Events on weekends must end prior to midnight.
Rules & Requirements
Rental Fees
Rental fees are determined at the time the application is completed at the office based on the status of the group. A 501(c)3 Letter is required of tax-exempt group to receive a discount if meals are not served. The total fee is determined by the hours needed for the event.
A Security Deposit is required to reserve date and complete the event registration form.
GRASP reserves right to cancel within 10 days of the event due to unforeseen circumstances.
Guest cancellation of a reserved event within 30 days will forfeit 50 percent of the deposit.
GRASP IS A SMOKE FREE FACILITY!
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MAY BE SERVED unless a Licensed Security Officer is on duty.
GRASP is not responsible for damage to personal equipment or vehicles during the event.
The event is to be under the control of the individual who contracts for the rental and is responsible for damage to the facility resulting from the attending guests.
Non-Profit Organizations may rent the facility for regular repeat events on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis if a Deposit is made and reapplication is completed annually.
All displays, decorations and personal items must be removed immediately following the event.
Commercial kitchen equipment may be used for an additional fee to cook or warm. Using the kitchen to prepare food prior to the event will be charged an hourly rate. Property, equipment or supplies of GRASP may not be used without permission.
GRASP will provide usual cleaning supplies, restroom supplies, garbage bags, and mops for cleanup at the end of the event at no charge. Cleaning includes sweeping, mopping floors, removal of trash and decorations and cleaning tables and countertops.
The contracting person responsible will be provided a key and security code. A $200 fee is charged for not returning or losing a key within 48 hours.
Deposits will be refunded or applied to rent within 2 business days following the event. Final payment is due within 2 business days. Deposits are forfeited for not cleaning, putting tables back in order, leaving trash or not alarming the building when exiting after the event or returning the keys.
